The Lakes Gin is the only gin to be distilled in the Lake District, and using local botanicals it is truly a product of the Lakes.  As the base of the gin we use grain spirit made from 100% English wheat, and this is put into our unique copper pot still along with water from the river Derwent and our mix of botanicals. The impact of the copper and the unique shape of the still give a greater character to the spirit. The mix includes 14 botanicals, 6 of which are local to the Lakes, including Cumbrian juniper. The quality of our gin is such that it is best enjoyed neat, either poured after being in the freezer for an hour, or with ice.
