Join us at The Sill: National Landscape Discover Centre on 1 June at 18.30 for our first event in partnership with Lakes Distillery celebrating their new whisky inspired by the story of The Border Reivers.
Created with the highest quality malt whiskies from both sides of the border, ‘Steel Bonnets’ is a combination of The Lakes Single Malt from England and some of the most respected malts from Scotland.
The Sill’s chefs will be showcasing some fascinating ways to cook with whisky, pairing dishes with specific ingredients and you’ll get to sample a delicious whisky-infused three-course meal.
You’ll be able to chat with the team from the Lakes Distillery and hear the story of Steel Bonnets. National Park Archaeologist Chris Jones will be on hand to discuss the history of the Border Reivers.
Steel Bonnets is the first cross-border blend of exceptional English and Scotch malt whisky, awarded a GOLD medal in the 2018 Luxury Masters in the Ultra-Premium World Whisky category.
